About The Job:
The Quality Technician is responsible to inspect the quality of products to ensure that it meets defined standards.
Roles and
Responsibilities:
Read and understand customer drawings and specifications.
Operate and maintain Computer Measurement Machine (CMM).
Support Daily Gemba with the ability to understand, document problem statements and communicate the Quality metric Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Newspaper.
Record, maintain and sustain integrity of the Non-Conforming Request information table in Excel.
Manage and execute inventory adjustment requests per defect.
Perform containment activities and establish bookends for supplier quality issues.
Communicate containment findings/results with Cross-Functional Team.
Coordinate sending equipment out for calibrations including packaging, obtaining quotes and requisition approval.
Drive internal quality issues to closure following the 8D methodology.
Confirms failed inspection results utilizing Cross-Functional Team and documents.
Track and manage next steps in the Material Review Board cage/log.
Create, align, and communicate quality alerts to the Cross-Functional Team.
Perform visual inspection on assigned jobs as required.
Follow Visual Inspection Criteria (VIC) and General Visual Inspection Guidelines.
Perform dimensional verification activities using, but not limited to, the following:
CMM, calipers, veneers, gages, and micrometers.
Perform end-of-line audits as they come off the assembly lines.
Corrective Action Reporting.
Create a certificate of conformance (CoC) for production orders.
Track supplier defects covered under warranty.
Maintain measurement equipment by following operating instructions, calibrations, and repairs.
Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly.
Assists Operations with the documentation and handling of nonconforming products.
Records inspection results on designated forms following proper GDP requirements.
Performing Gage R & R (GR&R).
Verifies and sign-off approves packaging and labeling as needed.
